Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t hold back on John Harbaugh, who was fired by the Baltimore Ravens two days after they lost in the final seconds of the Week 18 duel against the Steelers. Many thought the divisional game would define the fate of Tomlin and Harbaugh.
After 18 years, the Ravens parted ways with Harbaugh, who is now a hot candidate around the league. During a Wednesday appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Tomlin offered his thoughts on Harbaugh’s divorce with the Ravens.
Thanks for the submission!
“First, I just have so much respect for Harbaugh,” Tomlin said. “You know, our stories will forever be, you know, interwoven this rival, we’ve been fortunate and honored enough to be a part of. I just got so much respect for him and and how he’s gone about his business, and we’ve certainly had some legendary battles over the years.

“You know, in terms of him being let go, unfortunately, I just think it’s a component, component of today’s sport culture… but more than anything, I just think is, you know, a larger example of today’s sport culture in terms of, you know, not a lot of patience and the entertainment component of what it is that we do, there’s just not a lot of longevity.”

Tony Dungy blasts Ravens over John Harbaugh’s firing
John Harbaugh’s firing was expected by some and a surprise to others. Ex-NFL coach Tony Dungy criticized the move, calling out the Ravens for firing the last coach who won them a Super Bowl.
“The last 4 years they were 10-7, 13-4, 12-5, 8-9. They made the playoffs 3 straight years and missed this year because their kicker missed the game-winning FG on the last play of the season. And he was fired???? I’m sorry but I don’t understand. Good luck Baltimore in finding a better coach.”
The Ravens posted 13 winning seasons during Harbaugh’s tenure.
