Colts’ RB Jonathan Taylor was nominated for a Week 2 award after his big performance vs. the Broncos.
Indianapolis Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor is nominated for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season.
Taylor had a performance for the ages on Sunday, helping the Colts edge the Denver Broncos 29-28 and improve to 2-0 for the first time since 2009.
The five-foot-10, 226-pound back finished with 215 scrimmage yards, including 165 rushing yards on 25 carries, highlighted by a 69-yard breakout run, and he added 50 receiving yards on two receptions.
One of those catches was a seven-yard touchdown, while the other went for 43 yards, showcasing Taylor’s big-play ability both on the ground and through the air.
Taylor led the league in rushing yards through the Atlanta Falcons’ 27-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings slate. His dominant outing was a key factor in the Colts’ hard-fought victory, keeping the offense balanced and explosive against a tough Broncos defense.
He joins Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, and Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown as the other Week 2 nominees.
