Valerie Bertinelli reveals secret to ‘finding peace in chaos’

Valerie Bertinelli is sharing her raw thoughts on “finding peace in the chaos.”

The celebrity chef took to her Instagram account on December 9 to share an empowering message of appreciating one’s own strength.

In the candid post, she told her followers to acknowledge their own strengths.

“I’m not the biggest fan of videos that start with ‘I don’t know who needs to hear this,’ but this is one of those videos, I know that I have needed to hear this,” she began.

Valerie went on to say, “I don’t think you actually understand or give yourself credit for how strong you are. I don’t think you actually give yourself enough credit for how that strength shows up. ‘Cause when it shows up with kindness when no one in the world would bat an eye if it didn’t, but you stayed kind anyway, that takes strength. And I want you to give yourself credit for that. I want you to be proud of yourself.”

“We’re never given opportunity to really, like, appreciate and be proud of ourselves,” she noted.

The 65-year-old actress continued to share her wise words, saying, “So be proud of yourself, for staying kind when no one would blame you if you didn’t. It takes strength. Kindness takes strength, but it’s worth it. Because I know you feel better because you showed up that way. ‘Cause I know I feel better when I show up that way.”

“When I can stay rooted in equanimity, which is finding mental clarity and basically finding peace in the chaos, for lack of a better explanation, that feels good,” she added.
