Paramount has released the first trailer for Hit Me Hard And Soft, a new 3D concert film co-directed by Billie Eilish and James Cameron.

The film, opening March 20, 2026, has been billed as “an innovative new concert experience” that captures Eilish’s most recent global tour.

In the footage, Cameron says, “No one has ever shot a concert film on this scale before,” pointing to the unprecedented tech used in production.

He’s also seen asking Eilish about the emotional weight she carried during the tour, hinting that the film will go deeper than a typical tour documentary.

Produced by Lightstorm Earth, Darkroom Records, and Interscope Films, the release marks Eilish’s biggest theatrical push yet.

Her previous concert film, Live at the O2 (2023), had only a limited rollout.

This time, she’s aiming for IMAX, large formats, and a wide release in hopes of matching the big numbers of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film.

Paramount hasn’t ventured into concert films much in recent years. Its last major entry was 2011’s Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which opened to $29.5M and finished with $73M domestic and nearly $100M worldwide.

The trailer arrives as Cameron gears up for the December 19 release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, giving the Eilish film a boost in attention.

Hit Me Hard And Soft is Eilish’s third studio album. It is also pertinent to mention that at the 67th Grammys, it earned seven nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

At the upcoming 68th Grammys on February 1, 2026, the single Wildflower is nominated for both Record and Song of the Year.
