BENGALURU : The implementation of the new labour code has led to significant one-time charges across India’s top IT companies, reflecting increased gratuity and leave liabilities. TCS took the largest hit at Rs 2,128 crore, followed by Infosys at Rs 1,289 crore, HCLTech at Rs 956 crore, Wipro at Rs 302 crore, and Tech Mahindra at Rs 272 crore. These provisions are largely non-recurring but highlight the ongoing regulatory adjustments IT firms are navigating as they balance workforce costs with productivity and margin pressures.
